Salisbury
- Hotels, B&B's, Hostels & More - Find The
Accommodation That's Right
For You...
Salisbury
is a popular tourist
destination and one of the places many holidaymakers want to check out
when they
visit England. As such, it’s advisable to research and book
your hotel or
accommodation well in advance of arrival, especially if
you’re coming during
the peak summer months.
We
look at some of the options for you
here:
The
White Hart Hotel
– The White Hart Hotel is very central to Salisbury town
centre and as such is
an ideal place to stay. It’s somewhat expensive but rooms are
nicely decorated
and service is good. It’s quite popular with the business
crowd whenever they
need to stay at Salisbury. There’s also a nice garden patio
area just before
the car park.
Best
Western Hotel Salisbury
– Again, somewhat on the upper end of the price spectrum but
the hotel has
nice rooms and is centrally located. The interior lobby is also quite
pleasant.
Red Lion
Hotel Salisbury – The
Red Lion Hotel is certainly brimming with ancient charm. The building
itself was
built in the twelfth century and there’s a lovely courtyard
in keeping with
the towns quaint character.
If you’re looking for
mid-range prices for your accommodation in Salisbury then you can try
one of several
B&B’s (Bed & Breakfast) places
many of which are located along Castle Road.
Some
B&B’s you may wish to
sample are Byways House and Leena’s Guesthouse.
Good options if you
happen to be on a budget. The Old Mill Hotel &
Restaurant is also an
option – the building dates back to the 1500’s and
is set right by the river
Avon. It’s about ten minutes from Salisbury town centre but a
pleasant place
to stay if being in the centre isn’t a must. There are some
wonderful views of
Salisbury from the hotel, and you can even see the magnificent
Cathedral spire
which is quite a sight.
Also
fairly priced is the Antrobus
Arms Hotel, the food here is reputed to be quite good too. A
few other
places worth a mention are Howards House, Rose & Crown Hotel
and Woodfalls
Inn.
For
those on a strict budget and if
you’re looking for minimal frills there’s also the Salisbury
Youth Hostel.
